Job Overview
Candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of assigned projects and lead them through out the project lifecycle. Responsibilities will extend to problem handling and solving at both the business requirements and programming levels. They will also coordinate change management to the respective environments whilst working closely with the respective support staff and system owners residing in different teams.

The candidate is also expected to coach and mentor various team members on technical aspects of the project and be aware of estimation techniques and project delivery life cycle.

The candidate is expected to display professional ethics in his/her approach to work and exhibit a high level ownership within a dynamic working environment. The role demands an expert leader who has in depth knowledge of the latest key tools and technologies, a commitment to innovation, automation, and doing the right thing.

Key Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of assigned projects and lead them through out their project lifecycle for Japan projects. They will need to coordinate change management to the respective environments whilst working closely with the respective development and business colleagues in the region.
 Requirement Gathering and Analysis.
 Cross Team / Business Communication and Coordination.
 Planning and Implementation.
 Ensure that the Fidelity standard methodologies are applied in all projects
 Lead a project(s) independently with complete delivery responsibility
 Raise the productivity and quality of development teams by promoting high standards and best practices
 Ensure adherence to processes and assist in facilitating the ongoing review and enhancement of these processes.
 Work under minimal supervision to meet goals set by management
 Support and mentor fellow team members



Daily job will include monitoring status, report making, and documentation. The candidate will be expected to work closely with regional offices

Experience / Qualification / Key Skills / Attributes
Must have:
- Previous Team management experience – 6 – 8 years
- Ability to multi-task under demanding conditions, show flexibility, commitment and integrity.
- Must be a team player, self motivated, possess good inter-personal communication skills, good analytical and problem solving skills, good documentation skills
- Strong written and oral English skills are required
- Written and oral Japanese would be a benefit ( project dependent)

-
Communication skills
 Business Level English (business Level Japanese Skills are Project Dependent).
 English skills are required to communicate with local Fidelity office engineers and Business managers and/or respective offshore resources.
 Domain expertise in the area of Financial Instruments (Transaction Handling and Settlement) is helpful but not required.
 Any additional skills that would help support a regional customer base would be beneficial, for example having worked on Global Projects.
 Strong project and people management skills, not just language proficiency.
 Good at collaborating with other staff to meet deadlines.

Technical skills
 Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, PERL (CGI), .NET, XML).
 Deep understanding of metadata enterprise taxonomy。
 Intermediate – Advanced knowledge of Portal Technology (JSR 168, IBM WAS)
 Intermediate – Advanced knowledge of SQL programming (PLSQL / TSQL).
 Basic - intermediate knowledge of programming scripts / languages (Shell, Perl or PHP, Java, VB)
 Basic - intermediate knowledge of middleware such as WebSphere
 Basic – Intermediate knowledge of Web Servers (Apache and IIS)
