Primary Responsibilities:
1. Champion Global Delivery in IBM Japan, and optimize the use of the Global Delivery content into Japan SI/AMS/ERP engagements.
2. Participate in Project Team and client meetings. Act as the voice of the Global Delivery Centre with the customer.
3. Participate and influence the technical solution / architecture / wbs to facilitate offshore Global Delivery usage ensuring quality / delivery excellence
4. Focus on account level GD strategy development and planning on major accounts within sector
5. Partner with IBM Japan in client engagements and proposal work: participate in the solution design and preparation of deal proposals / responses to customers, review of RFPs, participate in decision process regarding overall solution architecture (custom, package, asset re – use, SOA/SOBA technology and assets, etc), and lobby for technology platforms/frameworks that will enable the optimization of Global Delivery content in each deal. Act as the representative of Global Delivery in the Solution partitioning process.
6. Achieve the bid metrics and target win rates
7. Interlock with Service Line Offering Solution Leads in the Global Delivery Centre to ensure deal requirements are met and oversee development and delivery of optimized detailed solution. (delivery models, band mix, staffing plans, KT plans, SSO displacement plans, cost case, proposal material, etc)
8. Creatively propose action plans to mitigate clients (both internal and external) concerns or resistance (if any) to the utilisation of Global Delivery content into proposals. Scope of responsibility: all deals within assigned sector/industry with TCV >,= $1MUSD
9. Function as ambassador of Global Delivery with IBM Japan Project Teams. Educate these teams on the proper utilization and value proposition of Global Delivery
10. Monitor opportunity pipeline; interlock with Global Delivery Centre Sectors;
11. Be the single point of demand communication for existing opportunities, progression of opportunities through the sales cycle
12. Establish and participate regularly in update meetings.
Experience/Skills:
1. Familiarity with Japanese business environment and culture – min 3 years JP onsite work experience.
2. Level 1/ Japanese native language fluency
3. Hands on Technical delivery background (10+ years)
4. Delivery experience from remote delivery centers (3+ years)
5. 4+ years of relevant industry/sector experience
6. Experience (2+ projects) of managing SI / Consulting projects end to end
7. Experience (2+ years) of maintaining client applications remotely
8. Project management (Technical delivery management) experience
9. Experience (1+) in delivering for clients from US / Europe
10. Abreast with the latest technology developments
11. Prior experience (5+ years) solutioning large, complex SI engagements
12. In depth understanding of Global Delivery value proposition, and best practices in offshoring work to remote centers, delivery models, multi-location delivery, multi-language delivery
13. Customer facing (sales and/or solutioning) and engagement experience
14. Knowledge of SOA technology/principles
15. Communication, organization, and negotiation skills

1. Win rate in TCV and on proposals
2. Increase in Global Delivery content as a % of deals solutioned and won
3. Increase in major accounts’ long term GD focus
