Come join an unique and very seasoned venture capitalist and entrepreneur couple with great connections in Silicon Valley for a dynamic discussion about "Building SAAS companies: perspectives from a VC and an entrepreneur" presented by SVCEF (Silicon Valley Chinese Entrepreneur Forum).

Speakers:
Joyce Chung, Founding Partner, Cardinal Venture Capital
Rene Lacerte, Founder of PayCycle

Details:
Software as a Service (SAAS) has emerged as the next significant movement in the software landscape, prompting vendors to rethink the architecture of their apps. While still in its infancy, we expect the SaaS model to become the de facto software delivery platform for many ISVs in the years to come.

While we believe that SaaS based models will continue to gain momentum in the coming years, the longer-term question is how long will it take SaaS to become a true software “platform” rather than a series of interesting, but niche, horizontal applications. Is a new method for developing better horizontal and vertical applications emerging? What are the advantages and disadvantages for both vendors and customers? Why does Wall Street value the SAAS companies?

At this event, our distinguished speaker Joyce Chung and her husband Rene Lacerte will share their perspectives on how to build SAAS companies from both a VC perspective and an entrepreneur standpoint. They will discuss
