I personally despise those local employees' business ethics. As an employee you should not have done those corruptive things. It's the basic principle. If you are not happy with your compensation, bargin with your employer, individually or collectively. Eventually you will reach an agreement that's acceptable to both sides. If you cannot accept your package and are not happy, then quit.
I've had much unhappy experience with my company, too, and I do complain, and I made phone calls and sent emails to a variety of management channels, but I don't do anything against the company. I have had contact from customers willing to pay my guys for $1000 man day consulting service (we basically provide free services), I rejected.
There should be some basic principles that a company (and a country, a family) can be built upon, without which we cannot achieve anything.
