have cliques here. Even you understand the typical high school culture, you still feel it's limiting. The popular group could be very snobby, they pretty much exclude people who're not like them. It takes a lot to get over the rejection. Maybe channeling the energy into something positive is good. I hope he can let go of it at some point in his life and not just try too hard to prove something. That's the aspect of life here that drove a lot people back to China. But, there is the reverse culture shock you'll need to deal with. I look for fairness, and you do find them most of the time. I figure there are people in the US who are mature and more worldly. I'll seek them out to be friend with them. I'll avoid people who're narrow minded, and understand that you may encounter them once a while. And I avoid places that most of these people live. Yes, diversity and multiculturelism still have a long way to go.
He is a handsome young man, he stood out in the group picture with his million watts smile, fit and confident frame. If the majority of the Chinese men look like him, that certainly projects a positive image of Chinese people. The next generation is going to be better for sure.
